Accelerate 79ers

Think of this as a super-smart calculator for understanding how companies make money. Instead of spending hours reading boring financial reports, you type in a company name and we do all the hard work for you!

🤔 What Does This App Do?

Every big company (like Apple, Nike, or Tesla) has to share a "report card" with the government every year. It's called a 10-K filing, and it's full of numbers about how much money the company made, how much it spent, and how much it has left over. The problem? These reports are really long and hard to read — sometimes over 100 pages!

Accelerate 79ers reads the whole thing in seconds, pulls out the important numbers, organizes them into neat tables and charts, and even has an AI assistant you can ask questions to — like having a super-smart tutor who already read the whole textbook.

What Can You Do Here?
📈

Financial Models

Type a company's ticker (like AAPL for Apple) and get 10 years of organized financial data — income, assets, cash flow — all in one place.

🤖

AI Assistant

Ask questions in plain English! "Is Apple making more money than last year?" and the AI gives you an answer with the real numbers.

💰

Deal Tracker

When one company buys another, we find similar deals so you can compare prices — like checking how much houses in your neighborhood sold for.

📊

Scorecard

Every company gets a letter grade (A through F) based on growth, profitability, and financial health. It's like a report card, but for businesses!

🔎

Deep Dive

Find every single table hidden inside the filing — revenue breakdowns, debt schedules, lease details — and export them to Excel.

💸

DCF Valuation

Figure out what a company is really worth by estimating its future cash flows. It's how Wall Street decides if a stock is cheap or expensive.

🎯

MD&A Analysis

The CEO's letter to investors gets broken down into easy pieces: what went well, what the risks are, and where the company is headed next.

📰

Market Research

See what's happening in the stock market right now — which sectors are up, which are down, and the biggest headlines of the day.

💡 How Does It Work? (3 Easy Steps)
1

Type a Company Name

Go to the Dashboard and search for any public company — Apple, Microsoft, Tesla, you name it. Just type the ticker symbol (like AAPL) or the company name.

2

We Fetch the Data

Our system goes to the SEC's website (that's the government agency that collects company reports), downloads the filing, and reads every single page using AI.

3

Explore and Learn!

Now you have clean tables, colorful charts, a scorecard, and an AI you can chat with. Click around the tabs to explore different parts of the company's finances.

👥 Who Is This For?

Honestly? Anyone who wants to understand how companies work. You don't need to be a Wall Street banker or a finance professor. Whether you're a student doing a school project, someone thinking about buying their first stock, or a professional analyst who wants to save time — this tool is built for you.

We believe financial data shouldn't be scary or confusing. Every number has a color code (green = good, red = watch out), every fancy term has a tooltip that explains it in plain English, and the AI assistant is always there to help if you get stuck.

🛠 What's Under the Hood?

Behind the scenes, we use some pretty cool technology to make all of this work:

🐍 Python & Flask 🤖 Claude AI 🏛 SEC EDGAR API 📊 Chart.js 📄 LlamaParse 💾 Excel Export

The app reads real government filings, uses AI to pull out the right numbers, double-checks everything for accuracy, and presents it all in a way that actually makes sense. No magic — just really smart software doing the boring work so you don't have to!

Ready to explore?

Pick any company and see what its finances look like. It only takes a few seconds!

✅ Data Sources

How our data is sourced, validated, and delivered to you.

Data Pipeline Overview

Accelerate pulls financial data from three primary sources: SEC regulatory filings, live market data feeds, and your uploaded documents (parsed via our proprietary AI pipeline). Every number you see traces back to one of these sources. No data is fabricated or estimated without clear labeling.

🏛

SEC Regulatory Filings

We pull structured financial data directly from 10-K (annual) and 10-Q (quarterly) filings filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission — the same data companies are legally required to report and have independently audited.

What it feeds:
Income Statement Balance Sheet Cash Flow Key Metrics DCF Historicals Common Size
Source: SEC EDGAR · Data type: Audited regulatory filings
📈

Live Market Data

Real-time and trailing market data from institutional-grade feeds. Provides current stock prices, trading multiples, market capitalization, enterprise value, sector/industry classification, and trailing twelve-month financial metrics.

What it feeds:
Scorecard Comps Analysis DCF (WACC) Stock Price Forecast Baseline
Freshness: Real-time / near real-time · Coverage: All major U.S. exchanges
📄

Uploaded Documents (AI)

When you upload a PDF (10-K, CIM, investor deck), our proprietary AI pipeline extracts financial tables, detects units and scaling, and validates every number. Each extracted value is scored for accuracy so you know how much to trust it.

Tab-by-Tab Data Sources

Scorecard Company overview, key ratios, and health metrics. Sources: SEC filings (company identification, filing metadata), market data (market cap, debt-to-equity, current price, sector/industry), uploaded documents (revenue, net income, margins).
Income Revenue, COGS, operating expenses, net income, EPS across multiple fiscal years. Sources: SEC filings (primary — structured line items from 10-K/10-Q), uploaded PDF (AI-extracted and scored for accuracy).
Balance Sheet Assets, liabilities, equity, working capital. Sources: SEC filings (structured balance sheet data), uploaded PDF (AI-extracted tables).
Cash Flow Operating, investing, and financing activities, CapEx, depreciation & amortization. Sources: SEC filings (cash flow statement data), uploaded PDF, market data (proprietary fallback methodology where filing data is incomplete).
Metrics Margins, growth rates, return ratios, leverage metrics. Sources: Calculated from the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow data — no separate external call. Math is applied to the already-sourced numbers.
Charts Visual representations of financial trends. Sources: Derived from extracted statement data. No additional data calls — charts render from the same numbers shown in the financial tabs.
Common Size Percentage-of-revenue analysis for each line item. Sources: Calculated by dividing each income statement line item by total revenue. Same underlying filing/PDF data, expressed as percentages.
MD&A Management Discussion & Analysis narrative sections. Sources: Extracted from uploaded PDF documents using our proprietary AI pipeline for section identification and summarization.
Deep Dive Raw extracted tables and granular financial data. Sources: Direct table extraction from uploaded PDFs via our AI pipeline. Shows the raw parsed output before it is normalized into financial statements.
Comps Comparable companies analysis with trading multiples. Sources: Market data (EV/Revenue, EV/EBITDA, P/E, revenue growth, EBITDA margin, market cap, enterprise value for each peer), SEC filings (sector classification for peer selection). Peers selected from a curated universe of public companies.
Forecast 5-year financial projections. Sources: Historical financials (SEC filings/PDF) as baseline, market data (analyst growth estimates as starting assumptions). Projections are model-driven, not sourced — assumptions are user-adjustable.
DCF Discounted Cash Flow valuation model. Sources: SEC filings (historical revenue, expenses, tax rate, depreciation, CapEx), market data (beta, market cap, debt for WACC calculation). Terminal value uses industry-standard valuation methodologies.
